  • Kanana

Kanana is a hidden jewel set on the Xudum River in the southwest Okavango Delta. The area encompasses a necklace of islands dotted with palms, figs, ebony and knobthorn trees, and is home to a myriad of birds, plants and animals.

Guests are accommodated in eight spacious, twin-bedded tents, set on raised teak decks which offer breathtaking views across the waterways. Dependent on the height of annual floods, the level of water transforms this camp into a true Delta experience and in the early months of the year you may actually enjoy the visible spectacle of the water rising around the camp. All tents offer an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water, shower and flush toilet.

Situated in a private concession a wide variety of activities are available at Kanana. The camp offers guided walks, Mokoro excursions and night drives in addition to game drives and motor boating (water levels permitting). It also affords private access by motorboat to one of the largest heronries in the Okavango Delta and is an excellent area for birding with regular sightings of Pel’s Fishing Owl. Fishing is available throughout the year (with the exception of January and February), with excellent bream fishing from May to September and superb chances of landing tigerfish during September to mid- November.
  • Okuti

This delightful camp, offering a welcome touch of comfort, lies alongside the Maunachira River which flows through the Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana’s prime game viewing regions.

Okuti caters for a maximum of 18 guests in large, beautifully-appointed rooms, each featuring an en-suite bathroom with inside and outside showers, hot and cold running water and flush toilets. Five rooms are twin-bedded and two are family rooms consisting of two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. There is an open boma overlooking the waters’ edge for evenings around the campfire while the swimming pool offers refreshment for those warm summer days.

Experience the Moremi Game Reserve rich in wildlife. Game viewing is consistent year round, hence it is ideal for the first time visitor to Botswana. In addition to game drives you can explore the Okavango Delta waterways by motorboat – from open lagoons to winding channels, it is a birder’s paradise.
  • Shinde

Nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta, Shinde is an intimate, classic camp located on the edge of Shinde Lagoon, which simply teems with animal and birdlife. The camps unique main area comprises a multi-tiered dining room and lounge which is set under canvas under the shade of ebony and mangosteen trees.

Shinde was refurbished in 2015. The elegance and historical charm of the iconic Shinde camp has been enhanced by enlarging the eight classic safari guest tents to incorporate a spacious bathroom with a large walk in shower and luxurious fittings. The larger bedroom with new linen and furniture in tasteful colours provide the perfect retreat. Wide sliding doors leading onto the extended front decks afford breath-taking views over the open floodplains or the mysterious waterways of the Delta.

Courtesy of its location Shinde can offer both water and land activities year round. Motorboats or Mokoro provide a chance to experience the incredible bird, plant and reptile species found in the aquatic habitat of the Okavango Delta. Game drives are conducted by a personal guide in comfortable, specially designed game drive vehicles. For the more adventurous, guided walks are also available while fishing enthusiasts will enjoy fishing for a variety of species such as tilapia and tigerfish.
